"The potential impact of Amazon in the Australian Retail  Market"

It cannot be denied how the Internet has revolutionized the way we shop. E-commerce allows consumers to electronically exchange goods and services with no barriers of time or distance. As technology continues to advance and new innovations are developed, more and more people say they prefer online shopping over conventional shopping.

Online shopping offers many distinct advantages including convenience, price comparisons, infinite choice, discreet purchasing and access to consumer reviews. Even those who do not regularly buy online use search online for prices, product specifications and availability before heading to the high street. This ongoing and disruption of the retail market both online and in physical outlets is referred as the "Amazon effect". The name is an acknowledgement of Amazon's early and continuing domination in online sales, which has driven much of the disruption.

Join the discussion as Dominique explore the potential impact of e-commerce in the Australian retail market.
