Michael Wilkins was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director in May 2008 after holding the position of chief operating officer since November 2007. Prior to this appointment he was managing director of Promina Group Limited, from August 1999 until March 2007. Previously he was managing director of Tyndall Australia Limited.

Mr Wilkins has more than 25 years experience in the insurance and financial services sector. He is a director of the Insurance Council of Australia, having served as president from 2003 until 2005, a member of the Business Council of Australia and is also a past director of Investment and Financial Services Association (IFSA).

He was voted as Outstanding Chartered Accountant in Business in 2004 and as ANZIIF Insurance Personality of the Year in 2005. He is a non-executive director of Maple-Brown Abbott Limited and was formerly a non-executive director of Alinta Limited.
