The Hon Malcolm Turnbull MP, Leader of the Opposition, 3 October 2008
The Hon Malcolm Turnbull MP addressed a boardroom lunch for 20 of the Chamber's Sponsor and Gold Club companies in Sydney on “The Australian Economy and the Political Landscape.” This event was generously partnered by Credit Suisse and Kordia Solutions.
Malcolm Turnbull MP, Leader of the Opposition, argues that while the Australian economy remains robust and resilient, it is showing clear signs of weakening.
And while the sub-prime fallout, global credit crunch, imported inflation (via soaring oil and commodity prices), rising interest rates and a reduction in business and consumer confidence are global phenomena, these indicators have been unduly exacerbated in Australia by the policies of the Rudd Government.
Is this typical political rhetoric and what would the Opposition do differently?
