Don Grover, Chief Executive Officer, Dymocks addressed an Executive Boardroom Lunch for 20 senior business executives, where he discussed "The Challenges & Opportunities for Dymocks, the Retail Market and the impact of the Internet". With over 96 stores in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong, and over 60 million books sold last year, Dymocks is a leading bookseller in the Asia Pacific region. Dymocks is now in its 130th year of trading, with the strategic direction of the business evolving from a bricks and mortar bookseller to a multi-channel business which is seen (locally and internationally) as a leader in bookselling innovation, challenging boundaries to satisfy and grow its customer base. Most recently Dymocks became a major equity partner in Healthy Habits, a leading player in the growing sandwich bar market.
Don Grover became CEO, Dymocks in December 2003. Prior to this, Don spent 25 years at David Jones, the last nine as Stores Director responsible for the operations of 36 department stores, overseeing new business acquisitions and focusing on implementing best practice customer service delivery for over 10,000 employees.
