Sean Aylmer addressed a private boardroom lunch for 23 of the Chamber’s Small and Medium Business members where he discussed “Why Newspapers & Magazines have to be much more than an editorial product – the future for Quality Media in an information-overloaded world”. This event was generously hosted by Bupa Australia and Gadens Lawyers.

So what is the value of quality journalism and well-respected mastheads, especially in ‘old world’ print form?
SEAN is an experienced writer and commentator, specialising in economics and financial services. Trained as an economist and having worked for the Reserve Bank of Australia, Sean joined Fairfax Media in 1997 and has worked at the Sydney Morning Herald and The Australian Financial Review in various roles. He has been an economics correspondent based in Canberra, a foreign correspondent based in New York and held senior management jobs including news editor and banking and finance editor at the AFR.
Sean facilitated a highly interactive and entertaining session, engaging Chamber members in thought provoking discussion on all aspects of media.
