Graeme Samuel AC addressed a boardroom event for 20 senior business executives where he discussed “New competition & consumer regulations – tougher sanctions & significant consequences for everyday business activity”. This boardroom event was generously hosted by Gadens Lawyers.
Part watchdog, part enforcer, the ACCC needs to balance competing interests in a timely and efficient manner to encourage competition for the benefit of consumers and stakeholders.
Graeme Samuel is the Chairman of the ACCC and an Associate Member of the Australian Communications and Media Authority. His professional career has spanned the law, investment banking and, since the early 1990s, a number of roles in the public service covering diverse interests including sport, the arts, health, business affairs and competition policy.
