Paul Cave AM, Chairman, BridgeClimb, Wednesday 15 September 2010
Paul Cave addressed a private boardroom lunch for 22 of the Chamber’s Small and Medium Business members where he discussed the “Creation of the BridgeClimb Dream - an Entrepreneur's Journey to Success”. This event was generously hosted by Expense Reduction Analysts and Accor Asia Pacific.
Paul Cave is the founder of BridgeClimb - Sydney's No. 1 'must do' activity for both locals and international visitors.
His dream of sharing the bridge's summit with the rest of the world began in 1989 when he organised a climb for delegates of the Young Presidents' Organisation World Congress. However, turning his dream into reality required nine years of commitment and persistence as Paul dealt with dozens of state and local government bodies, community groups, experts on safety, logistics, media, heritage and conservation.
Paul shared his entrepreneurial expertise as he spoke of the challenges of opening a major new Sydney attraction and maintaining momentum in the marketplace.
Paul was awarded an AM for his services to the tourism industry in NSW and to the community as a supporter of a range of health, sporting and charitable organisations.
