Steve Sargent addressed a CEO Boardroom event for 20 senior business executives where he discussed ” Driving Australia's productivity: The role of innovation, people and the environment”. This CEO boardroom event was generously hosted by Norton Rose.

As Australia's growth continues to be fuelled by local and global demands, more and more pressure is being placed on our infrastructure to keep up the pace and ensure continued business competitiveness. To drive Australia's productivity, businesses must focus on innovation, people and the environment.

Steve Sargent, President & Chief Executive Officer of GE Capital Asia Pacific, leads GE’s financial services businesses across 11 markets in the region to serve more than 15 million businesses and consumers. As a lender committed to supporting its customers, GE Capital offers an array of specialty finance products and services ranging from leveraged and sponsor finance, equipment leasing, equity capital and working capital financing to credit cards and personal loans.
Steve is also Chief Executive Officer of GE Australia and NZ, overseeing GE’s 4 business units, GE Energy Infrastructure, GE Technology Infrastructure, GE Capital and GE’s media business NBC Universal.

Steve talked about the following topics:
