Justin Reizes, Head of KKR Australia, Wednesday 8 May 2013
Justin Reizes addressed a private boardroom event for 22 senior business executives where he discussed “The Outlook for Private Equity for Australia and Asia in 2013”. This CEO Boardroom lunch was proudly sponsored by Allen & Overy and Macquarie Group.
KKR Australia is a leading global investment firm founded in 1976 and led by Henry Kravis and George Roberts. KKR had US$75.5 billion in assets under management as of December 31, 2012, and has offices around the world, including seven in the Asia Pacific.
KKR completed over 170 private equity investments with a total transaction value of over $425 billion and also completed 28 investments in the Asia Pacific since 2005, investing more than US$5 billion in equity. The current Asia Pacific portfolio includes companies across seven countries and eleven industries, with three in Australia.
Justin Reizes joined KKR in 1999. He is a member of the Asia Portfolio Management Committee and a Member of the Global Private Equity platform. Mr. Reizes has played a role in the investments in Tenovis, Maxeda, BIS and Seven West Media (formerly Seven Media Group). He currently serves on the boards of directors of BIS and Seven West Media.
Prior to KKR, Mr. Reizes was involved in the private equity investments area of Morgan Stanley Capital Partners in London. Previously, he was with the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley in New York and Houston, where he was involved in a number of mergers, acquisitions, and financings. He is an active supporter of the Fred Hollows Foundation in Australia.
