Launch of the first Australian Cleantechnology Industry Online Portal, 4 June, 2008

Trade Event

The AICC and Cleantechnology Australasia together with Credit Suisse, Ernst & Young and Freehills have launched the first industry map for the Cleantechnology industry in Australia.

Climate Change brings with it numerous challenges for community, business and the nation. However, it also provides an unparalleled business opportunity! It is estimated that over US$15 trillion will be invested in climate change related products and services over the next 10 years alone.

To facilitate more efficient business, government and research interaction within this emerging sector, the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce has developed Australia’s first Clean Technology Industry Portal -
www.aicc.org.au/cleantech

This unique portal is a joint initiative of the Chamber with Clean Technology AustralAsia and leading industry partners, Freehills, Ernst & Young and Credit Suisse.

The Cleantech Portal for the first time defines the opportunity for Australian business within the Cleantech industry and depicts over 350 Australian companies with original products and services in the sector. Many more will be added over time. It is incumbent upon government, business and academia to support this important market opportunity.

Should you be interested in further information about the Portal, or know of a company that you believe should appear therein, please contact Guy Pross – guy@aicc.org.au
