Major Business Lunch

Tom Albanese addressed a rare business lunch in Sydney in front of 850 business executives on the outlook for the resource sector and Rio Tinto. This event was generously partnered by Macquarie Group, Allens Arthur Robinson, and supported by CSC.

Rio Tinto is a leading international mining group, combining Rio Tinto plc, a London listed public company headquartered in the UK, and Rio Tinto Limited, which is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Tom joined Rio Tinto in 1993 on Rio Tinto's acquisition of Nerco and held a series of management positions before being appointed chief executive of the Industrial Minerals group in 2000, after which he became chief executive of the Copper group and head of Exploration in 2004 and Chief Executive of the Group in May 2007.
