Ahmed Fahour, Managing Director & CEO, Australia Post, addressed a Business Lunch for over 120 executives in a speech where he discussed his strategy for "Australia Post – Part of Tomorrow”. This lunch was proudly sponsored by Checkmarx and Zebra Technologies.
Ahmed Fahour has earned a reputation as a dynamic leader and successful corporate reformer, both here in Australia and internationally. His career in business consulting and financial services has included leadership roles with Boston Consulting Group, Citigroup (USA) and National Australia Bank (where he was Australian CEO).
Since early 2010, Ahmed has been at the helm of Australia Post – an iconic Australian brand that is experiencing major shifts in customer behaviour, driven by the online world. At this lunch, Ahmed discussed his approach to transforming Australia’s oldest organisation, so it is equipped with the digital infrastructure and services that are so vital to serving Australians today – and into the future. Beyond the reform of the letters service, Ahmed discussed how Australia Post is implementing its “Part of Tomorrow” strategy by capturing new growth opportunities in eCommerce and trusted digital services.
At Australia Post, Ahmed has been implementing a more customer-focussed business model designed to capture the corporation’s major growth opportunities in ecommerce, logistics and as a provider of trusted digital services. He is currently also Chairman of Pro-Pac Packaging Ltd and a Director of the Carlton Football Club, as well as an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law at La Trobe University.
