Australian Cleantech Industry Portal

CLIMATE CHANGE brings with it numerous challenges for community, business and the nation. However, it also provides an unparalleled business opportunity! It is estimated that over US$15 trillion will be invested in climate change related products and services over the next 10 years alone. John Doerr, the legendary investor from Kleiner Perkins (who invested in Google, Intuit, Amazon, Sun…), recently said that this is “…the largest investment opportunity in history.”

The Australian Cleantech Industry Portal is a thought leadership initiative of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce together with Ernst & Young, Export Finance Insurance Corporation (EFIC) and Austrade to promote the opportunities of a low carbon economy.

Available to business, government and research institutions involved with Cleantech, the Portal acts as a mechanism to quickly determine over 420 players in this important, growing and increasingly lucrative industry sector.

Public Private Partnerships (PPP) Industry Portal

Given the urgent need to improve Australia’s infrastructure, the creation of Infrastructure Australia (to develop a strategic infrastructure blueprint and - in partnership with the states, territories, local government and the private sector - facilitate its implementation), and the recent economic stimulus package partially aimed at infrastructure, the utility of Public Private Partnerships (PPP) will be more important than ever.

The Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce has created a unique industry portal that will for the first time define Australia’s capability for the development of infrastructure projects using the PPP financing / procurement model.

This portal is a thought leadership industry tool to enable business, government and research institutions involved with infrastructure to quickly determine the players in this important and growing market – and drive opportunities. The draft portal incorporates 66 PPP projects and will be available in hard copy as well as online.
