MGSM LEADERSHIP FORUM - FIRST EVENT
Prof Richard Badham and Tim Dugan addressed a Young Business Forum reception with over 50 young professionals where they discussed “Leading Transformations: The Masks We Wear”. This event was proudly hosted by Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
What does it take for an ineffective manager to become a highly effective leader? Talk to 50 top CEOs, management consultants, and academics, and you’ll get a different answer from each. There are countless books, models, and formulas for success. Professor Richard Badham argued that “leadership transformation is deeply dependent on context. Everyone follows his own path and has her own story. The key for people who are seeking transformation is to identify the common threads in the experiences of others who have achieved success and absorb the insights they find there.”
Tim Dugan, CEO, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse at RPA. This newly established and radically innovative cancer centre aims to transform cancer treatment for Australians through an environment thriving on discovery, research and uncompromising care. Tim described his experiences as a transformational leader and the masks he wears to effect change and to lead by example.
