Rachel Argaman, Chief Executive Officer, Toga Hospitality 22 March 2011

Rachel Argaman addressed a Young Business Forum reception with over 90 young professionals in the 20 -35 year old demographic where she discussed "Leadership, Motivation, Life balance".

Rachel Argaman is currently the CEO of Toga Hospitality. With over 20 years international experience at senior management level in the travel and hospitality industry, Rachel has a passion for creating a results-oriented, responsive and market-driven culture. This is substantiated by her driving belief that the success of businesses depends on the quality of the people they employ. At the reception Rachel shared with us her management philosophy, motivation, and interesting tips on maintaining work/life balance.

Founded by Ervin Vidor, Toga Hospitality began its operations in 1982 and currently operates 53 strategically located hotels throughout Australia, New Zealand and Europe. Under the successful Toga Hospitality umbrella are four brands; Medina Apartment Hotels, Adina Apartment Hotels (Europe), Vibe Hotels and Travelodge Hotels (Australia & New Zealand).

Rachel’s success to date has been highly recognised by a host of industry and business awards achievements, including Telstra National Corporate Businesswoman of the Year in 2008. In October 2010 Rachel participated in the popular TV series, “Undercover Boss”, enabling her to experience her company through a vastly “different lens” as she worked on the front line of the business. An enormous success, this move facilitated ongoing changes in the many and strategic ways in which Toga Hospitality’s senior management provides support to the business and its employees.
