The Hon. Andrew Stoner MP, Deputy Premier addressed a private boardroom lunch for 28 senior business executives where an interactive discussion was had about NSW’s place in the world of Innovation, Science and Cleantech.

NSW is known globally for its high-impact research with the pioneering work of outstanding researchers across a variety of fields – from next generation communications, to energy technology, robotics, data analytics, biotechnology, eResearch, health, medical research and more.

The Hon. Andrew Stoner MP is the NSW Deputy Premier, Minister for Trade and Investment, Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Services and also is the Minister responsible for Science and Innovation. The Deputy Premier established the NSW Innovation & Productivity Council which advises the Government on policies and strategies that allow businesses to innovate. He also launched the Government’s Innovate NSW program in April this year.

Our State Government has a commitment to clean technology with the appointment of a Parliamentary Secretary for Renewable Energy and the development of our first Renewable Energy Action Plan.

Andrew was first elected into Parliament as the Nationals Member for Oxley in 1999 and was elected Leader of the NSW Nationals in 2003. Following the NSW Liberals & Nationals election win in 2011, Andrew was sworn in as Deputy Premier.
