The Hon Barry O’Farrell MP, Premier of New South Wales addressed our inaugural Vision Series Lunch for 250 business executives, in conversation with David Speers, Political Editor & Journalist, Sky News Australia; where they discussed “Three Years On – A Bright Future for NSW”.  This lunch was proudly sponsored by Optus.

The Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce was honoured to have The Premier of NSW as our first speaker to launch the Chamber’s “Vision Series”. The Vision Series is a limited number of thought provoking lunches on key topics affecting Australian business presented by prominent and influential speakers. The Vision Series speakers offer a path forward, or vision, to stimulate debate and provide intellectual leadership. At this lunch The Premier of NSW discussed his successes, his disappointments and the bright prospects for NSW.

Entering 2014 the Liberal/Nationals government has accomplished much across the gamut of industry portfolios, but The Premier of NSW is all too aware of the ongoing challenges facing our state.  The Premier, continuing his Government’s commitment to open and frank dialogue, partook in a Q & A session with the audience. Amongst others, discussion covered NSW’s new planning system, the progress of Barangaroo, road-freight productivity, NDIS, and infrastructure and rail links.

This was a most engaging and thought provoking conversation with our state’s Premier, intent on ensuring his vision is secured for a bright NSW future for many years to come.
